Due to continued hazardous road conditions and the closure of Henderson County Schools Thursday, 2/20, the District 13AA Tournament has been delayed for another day. Weather/road conditions permitting, the boys' games scheduled for tomorrow night will be played on Friday, 2/21. We will share the updated tournament brackets when the schedule is confirmed.
HC Schools- Closure Announcement
The Henderson County School District will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays warm and safe.
Due to the predicted snow accumulation and potential hazardous weather conditions, the school district will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. In order to keep students engaged during the closure, teachers will be sending home practice activities today. Please encourage your child to complete this practice created by their teachers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming students back once it is safe to do so.

Parent Teacher Conference
Scotts Hill High School FBLA donated $1500 to our school's benevolent fund from the earnings of their Charitable Business Battle to help the students in need in our community. These students worked hard, creating businesses and selling their items. This year's champions are Marcus Bielinski, Angel Crawford, and David Whitaker; runner-ups are Mayce Hughes, Bella Jones, Savannah Whitaker, and Casidy Wiegand.
Parent reminder. SHHS will be having Parent Teacher Conference Thursday February 13th starting at 1p-7pm. If you need to schedule an appointment please reach out to your students teacher. Parents please check Rooms Platform for any messages or announcements sent out by teachers.
Scotts Hill High School Computer Science Foundations students created some incredible circuit projects this semester.
Parents, it was brought to our attention that someone allegedly made a threat against SHHS. It was looked into by law enforcement. It was determined no credible threat was made. The SHHS basketball homecoming game has been rescheduled for Monday, February 10th versus Liberty.
Students! As I'm sure you've heard, we will be out of school for the remainder of the week. While I'm sure you're all devastated 🤭 you can rest assured that homecoming will take place, we just don't know when yet. As of now, Wednesday through Friday activities as well as the ceremony have been postponed until a later date to be determined. So if you're working on a class banner, school spirit posters, or class section decorations, you've just been granted some extra time to work! We'll keep you posted on the details!
Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled.
We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to rest, recover, and take the necessary health precautions during this time.
