Welcome Bears!!!💙💛 🐻
I’m Jessica Simpson. I am excited to be transitioning into the role of academic coach this year. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Ole Miss- Hotty Toddy ❤️💙- and worked as a social worker for 5 years before earning my M.S. in Education from UT Martin and an endorsement in Leadership & Administration from Bethel University. This is my 12th year at WES. I am married to Logan Simpson. Our daughter, Marlee, is a sophomore at LHS. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to serve our students in a different capacity and support our amazing teachers this year!

Next week is a BIG week in the Westover Community! We cannot wait to have our halls filled with smiling faces. See you next week Bear Family!

Parents, Please note the slight change in our dress code policy.

Hi everyone! I’m Mallory Hart and I am so excited to be joining the Bears family! This will be my third year with Henderson County schools and my third year in first grade. I am married to Aaron and we have two wonderful boys, Daniel and Asher. We also have the most friendly (and lazy) dog in the world, Athens. When I’m not teaching kiddos to read, which is my passion, you can find me cheering on the LHS Tigers or Georgia Bulldogs. Our family loves sports and I can’t wait to cheer on the Westover Bears this year too!!

Hello Westover Family! My name is Natalie Sorensen and I am so very excited to be starting my 12th year of teaching at Westover! Go Bears! Prior to coming to Henderson county I taught 5th grade ELA at Pope School in Jackson as well as Caywood Elementary in Lexington City. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from University of Memphis, Masters degree in education from Ashford University, and my EdS. in administration from Arkansas State University. Needless to say, I love school and feel like I myself am a forever student! I am married to John Sorensen and am a boy mom with 4 sons-all of whom I love very much. My oldest, Tyler, is 21 and a senior at University of Tennessee at Martin. My 17 year old son, Nico, and my 16 year old step-son, Jaden, both attend Madison Academic High School in Jackson and will be an upcoming senior and junior this year. My youngest, Miles, is starting 5th grade and will attend Westover with me. He is very excited to become a Bear! As an educator, I believe ALL children have the ability to be successful in the classroom and I look forward to helping all of my students at Westover have a fantastic year!

My name is Kelly Moffitt, and I will be teaching Special Education at Westover Elementary school this year . I got my Bachelors Degree from UT Martin, and my Masters in Leadership from WGU. I have been in the educational field for the past 19 years. The last eight years of my career have been at JMCSS, and I am excited to be returning to Henderson County Schools! I have two grown daughters, and have been a long-time resident of Lexington. I’m looking forward to this school year and I’m glad to be a Westover Bear!
