We were honored to welcome back some incredible Westover alumni who returned to campus to share information about ROTC with our 8th graders as they prepare for the exciting transition to high school.
There is something so special about seeing former students walk our halls again — standing taller, speaking confidently, and leading with purpose. These young men and women are carrying the excellence, leadership, and character they began building right here at Westover into the next chapter of their journey.
They represented their high schools with pride, but most importantly, they represented Westover with integrity and heart. That foundation doesn’t fade — it grows.
To our alumni: thank you for coming back to pour into the next generation. You make us proud every single day.
Once a Bear, always a Bear. 🐻✨

Henderson County Schools pauses to reflect on the importance of Black History Month.
Black History Month provides an opportunity to recognize and honor the achievements, resilience, leadership, and lasting contributions of Black Americans — in our nation, across Tennessee, and here in our own community. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, to listen, and to grow together. At each of our Henderson County Schools, we remain committed to ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to make a difference.

Volleyball Game Day! These girls are on fire. Come out and support them tonight.

Way to go lady bears!

Officer Vineyard is so much more than a uniform in our hallways. He is a steady presence, a protector, a mentor, and a friend to our students. He greets our Bears with a smile, shares laughs in the lunchroom, shows up at events, and builds relationships that truly matter.
Our students love him because he sees them. He listens. He jokes with them. He encourages them. And when they need him, he is always there.
Behind the badge is a heart that cares deeply for our school family. He makes our building safer, brighter, and better every single day — and we are incredibly grateful.
If Officer Vineyard has ever made your child smile, feel safe, or feel seen, drop him a note of appreciation in the comments below so we can shower him with the love he deserves! 💙
Thank you, Officer Vineyard, for all you do for our Bear family. We are so thankful for YOU!

Every student who showed growth earned the ultimate reward: getting to slime Mr. Buckley! 💚😄
Huge shout-out to Mr. Buckley for being such a good sport and diving (literally) into the mess to cheer on and motivate our students. Your willingness to get slimed made their hard work even more memorable!

However, please note that glass vases are not allowed at school or on the bus, and balloons will not be allowed on the bus.
All glass vases will be turned away at the door, as they have broken in the past, creating a mess and an unsafe situation for students and staff.
Please also be mindful of the amount and size of gifts, as students will need to transport them to their dismissal areas.
Lastly, Westover is a peanut-free school, so please keep that in mind when choosing candy or treats.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
We’re excited to share that our Book Fair is just around the corner! 📚✨ This is always a favorite time for our students and a wonderful way to celebrate reading while supporting our school library.
Attached you’ll find the Book Fair newsletter with all the important details, including the schedule, donation link, and eWallet information to make shopping easy and convenient.
Thank you for always supporting our readers and our library. We can’t wait to see our bears browsing, smiling, and finding their next favorite book!
Warmly,
Susan Crownover
