Our CDC class had fun getting creative today! 🖌️🐻
The students enjoyed painting, expressing themselves, and sharing some laughs along the way. So proud of our students and the positive energy they bring to Westover! 💛🩵

What a wonderful night of reading, family, football, and FUN! 💙💛
Our Literacy Under the Lights event brought Westover families together on the LHS football field for an evening filled with fun literacy activities and a chance to spend time with **LHS football players and coaches**. We loved seeing our students reading, learning, laughing, and making memories with their families and friends!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who worked behind the scenes to plan, prepare, set up, lead activities, and make this special night possible. Events like this take a lot of helping hands, and we are so grateful for each person who gave their time and energy.
We also want to extend a special thank you to LHS for welcoming us and allowing us to use their beautiful football facility. We appreciate the continued partnership between our schools!
And we have to brag just a little on some of our own! 🐻➡️🏈 Several former Westover students who now play football for LHS graciously gave their time to participate in the event, interact with our students, and help make the night extra special. There is something pretty amazing about watching former Westover Bears come back and pour into the students following in their footsteps. We are incredibly proud of the young men they have become!
Thank you to all of our Westover families who joined us. Literacy Under the Lights was a night to remember! 📚✨🏈

We loved starting our Thursday morning with a little extra school spirit! A few members of the LHS Football Team, along with Coach Mason, stopped by Westover to greet our students and staff in the car rider line. Our Bears were excited to see them and send them off with lots of encouragement for tonight! 🙌
🏈 TONIGHT — LHS HOME OPENER!
Help us cheer on the LHS Tigers as they take the field for their first home game of the season! We hope to see plenty of our Westover families in the stands showing their support! 📣
📚🏈 AND THE FUN CONTINUES TOMORROW NIGHT!
Don’t forget about Literacy Under the Lights on Friday night! It’s another great opportunity to bring our school community together and celebrate two things we love—reading and football!
Thank you to Coach Mason and the LHS players for spending part of your game day morning with us. Good luck tonight! Westover is cheering you on!

Over the past several days, we’ve introduced you to the incredible people who make up our Westover staff. Different grade levels. Different jobs. Different talents. But one team, one school, and one Bear family.
We are teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, coaches, nurses, office staff, cafeteria staff, custodians, administrators, support staff, and so much more. But at the heart of it all, we are simply a group of people who love our students and love our community. 💙
We work hard. We laugh—a LOT. We encourage one another. We solve problems together. We celebrate the good days and help each other through the hard ones. We build relationships because we know that before students can truly learn, they need to know they are seen, valued, and cared for.
We want nothing but the very best for every Bear who walks through our doors. We will challenge them, cheer for them, believe in them, and do everything we can to help them become the very best version of themselves. 🌟
And somewhere along the way, something pretty special happens...
We become family. 🐻💙
That’s what makes Westover more than a school. It’s the people. It’s the relationships. It’s the laughter in the hallways, the high-fives in the mornings, the celebrations, the traditions, and the countless little moments that make this place feel like home.
To our students and families: thank you for trusting us with your children. There is no greater privilege, and we are ready to give them our very best.
To our community: thank you for always supporting your Bears.
And to our staff: here’s to another year of working hard, loving big, having fun, and doing what we do best—together. 💙
We are Westover. We are Bears. And we are FAMILY. 🐻💙
Here’s to an amazing 2026–2027 school year!

If you’ve been through the doors at Westover in the morning, chances are you’ve been greeted by one—or all—of these familiar faces! Whether it’s a smile, a high-five, a “Good morning!” or a little encouragement to start the day, these three make sure our Bears know they are welcome and ready for a great day! 🌟
👔 Mr. Paden Buckley — Principal
📚 Mr. Jared Shumate — Assistant Principal
🚔 Officer Brian Vineyard — School Resource Officer
Together, they work hard every day to make sure Westover is a place where our students and staff feel safe, supported, encouraged, and ready to learn. From celebrating successes and solving problems to checking hallways, helping students, supporting teachers, and keeping a watchful eye over our campus—they’re always on the move! 💙
Most importantly, they know our Bears, care about our Bears, and want every student who walks through our doors to have a safe and successful year.
We are thankful for the leadership of Mr. Buckley and Mr. Shumate and for Officer Vineyard’s commitment to keeping our Bear family safe. Here’s to another great year of learning, growing, and looking out for one another at Westover! 🐻💙

It’s the final year as Westover Bears, and our 8th graders have an amazing team ready to make it one to remember! 💙
📚 Ms. Susan McKee — ELA
➗ Mrs. Megan Fesmire — Math
🔬🌎 Ms. Jodi Duncan — Science & Social Studies
These ladies have the important job of helping our oldest Bears finish their time at Westover strong! From strengthening reading and writing skills and tackling challenging math to exploring science and diving into history, they are preparing our students for the exciting transition to high school and beyond. 🌟
But 8th grade is about so much more than academics. It’s a year of lasts, milestones, memories, growing up, and getting ready for what comes next. Through it all, Ms. McKee, Mrs. Fesmire, and Ms. Duncan will be there teaching, encouraging, challenging, laughing with, and cheering on our 8th graders every step of the way. 💙
We can’t wait to watch our Class of 2027 make the most of their final year at Westover. Make it count, 8th grade—you’re going to do BIG things! 🎓🐻💙
