Mrs. Kassie's first graders has a great first day of first grade and a fun first week of school!

Westover class of 2024 had a great first full week of school! We love this bunch and are excited for the memories we will make this year.

We are bringing back Student Council this year, and we are all so excited! Applications are due the 25th. If your child is interested please have them pick up an application in the counselors office this week during their WIN atone.

One of our Westover Bear cubs came for a visit to meet the second grade students who watched him grow last year in Ms. Andrea’s first grade class. MJ Wilkinson was born during summer break, so he came back to meet his former first grade buddies.

Countdown to back to school!

Ms. Andrea’s first graders completed a plant unit in May of last school year. The students used their knowledge from the unit to become gardeners. The students planted sunflowers and were tasked at growing them at home. We want to give a shout out to Maddie Inmon for her excellent job at growing her sunflower.

We would like to officially welcome Miss Katy Hayes to Westover!
My name is Katy Hayes. I grew up in Lexington and went to Westover for elementary school before graduating from LHS in 2017. I went to Mississippi State University where I graduated in December of 2022 and received my bachelors of science in education with a focus in educational psychology. I am currently attending the University of Tennessee at Martin where I am getting my master's in clinical mental health counseling. Last year I worked in the 3 year old pre-kindergarten class and am fortunate enough to be able to do so again this year. I love hockey and reading and am ecstatic to be a Westover Bear!

Welcome to the Westover family, Mrs. Allison Runyon!
Hello, my name is Allison Runyon. I am married to Josh Runyon and have 2 children, Mason and Allora. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I am excited for this new chapter of my life, and I am ready to build new relationships with the staff and children at Westover Elementary School!💙
