We are so excited to welcome our students back to school this morning!! Have a wonderful school year! ✏️ 🍎

Nearly 600 Henderson County teachers and staff gathered yesterday for their annual county-wide in-service. We had a great morning full of information and encouragement, along with guest speaker Kim Bearden from the Ron Clark Academy. A special thank you to the First Pentecostal Church for the use of their facility and graciousness throughout the morning.

The last three days have been filled with opportunities for the Henderson County School District's teachers and staff. There have been 25 different professional development sessions available over the last three days! Just a few more days and our students will fill the halls. August 2nd is the first full day of school.

The Henderson County School District and Mrs. Gennifer Leslie would like to thank the AirEvac Lifeteam and Braden Healthcare for today's CPR training sessions for many of our district employees. At last count, they trained 110 staff members today. "This was a great opportunity not only for our school system but for our community because all of those who were trained today will be carrying that knowledge out into our community with them, and that knowledge can potentially save someone’s life," states Henderson County Nurse Supervisor, Gennifer Leslie.
Thank you!

Voluntary PreK (VPK) is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify. Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not necessarily guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-income eligible students will receive notice informing them of their status after the beginning of school, per the VPK grant guidelines.

Are you interested in being a substitute teacher? Here is your opportunity!

Are you ready?!? We are prepared for a great new school year!!

Mr. Danny Beecham, Henderson County Director of Schools, gave the commencement address at the July 18th Southwest TN Adult Education graduation ceremony. Twenty-five students received their General Education Diplomas. Thank you to Mr. Stewart Stanfill and staff for all the great work they do in our community.
