Happy National Principals Month from the Henderson County School District! A big thank you to Mr. Rainey and all the amazing Henderson County School Principals who work hard and inspire our students daily. Your impact is truly important, and your dedication to creating a positive school environment makes a difference in many lives. #ThankAPrincipal #NationalPrincipalsMonth Mr. Brandon Rainey is an experienced educator with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Master's degrees in both Curriculum and Instruction from Freed Hardeman and in School Leadership from Bethel University. Over his 19-year career in education, he has served in various roles, including as an economics and business education teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Lexington High School, as well as coaching cross country and track and field. He values personal relationships, citing marrying his best friend Rebecca and being a dad to Maci and Addie as his greatest accomplishments. When asked what wisdom he might share with his students, Mr. Rainey emphasized, “Focus on learning and not just grades. The skills and knowledge that you gain matter more in the long run. Surround yourself with positive people. Friends influence your mindset more than you know. Enjoy the moment. The future is important, but don't forget to enjoy the present.”

Henderson County Youth Leadership enjoyed a day of team building at Camp Mac Morris today. Students were pushed out of their comfort zones to complete challenges as a team. They left the day with a tighter group bond and each person learned a little something about themselves. We can't wait until our next outing in November. We would like to give a special thank you to Wabtec Young Touchstone for sponsoring our program this year and making opportunities like this available to our students.

Whenever you want to find the bad in teenagers…. remember there is GOOD. ❤️ It’s “homecoming” day, these seniors were sad and frustrated yesterday that our opponent cancelled for tonight. Despite the disappointment, it was decided to go ahead with some festivities and the senior picture scheduled for today. Directly after the senior picture THEY decided to go all together to the flag pole to pray for a classmate in need of prayers. ❤️ #seethegood #wearefamily

Dear LHS Family, We regret to inform you that the opposing team has forfeited the football game scheduled for tomorrow night. As a result, there will be no game or homecoming festivities this Friday night at LHS. Homecoming royalty will be presented before the Chester Co. game on October 25th. We will give more details regarding other homecoming activities by the end of the school day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding of this situation, which has been entirely out of our control. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to your presence at future games. Sincerely, LHS Administrative Team
