Due to the heat index, the soccer game has been moved back to 6:30. Measurements will be taken before the game starts to reassess the heat index at that time.

Nursing Services III A&P students made “skin cakes” to model the skin structure while covering the Integumentary System in Mrs. Lovins’ class!










This year we will have TWO picture days. Freshmen & Sophomores will take their photos on Wednesday, August 21st. Juniors and Faculty/Staff will take their photos on Thursday, August 22. These will be in the auditorium. Please see the graphic for the backdrop, so you can dress appropriately.

SENIORS: This week James Photography will be in the auditorium to take your Senior Portraits! Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Please show up, and be on time. Your deposit (minimum $45) is due upon arrival. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Bivens.

Tuesday the LHS Cross Country teams began their season at the jamboree in Mackenzie. The runners endured extreme heat, but came away with 11 medals! Congratulations to our Cross Country runners and Coach Small! The next meet is in Covington on August 27th.





Lexington High School is excited to welcome Ms. Ozier as our new Geometry teacher! "My name is Shelby Ozier. I am a Lexington High School alum, and I am so excited to be back at L-Town. I graduated from the University of Memphis. This is my second year teaching, and I am enthusiastic about teaching geometry again. When I’m not teaching, I love traveling and spending time with my favorite people. I love this school, and I know this will be a great year! Go Tigers! "

Lexington High School proudly announces that we had the highest passing rate in the STATE on the Statewide Dual Credit World History Exam! Congratulations to our students and Coach Bowman on this achievement! 🏆

(Health Occupations Students of America) is the club affiliated with the medical classes here at LHS. In the past, we have raised money for St. Jude. visited the nursing, pharmacy, and cadaver lab at Union University, toured many departments within Jackson Madison County General Hospital, and other community service opportunities.
WHO CAN JOIN? Past, present, and future (next semester) students of Health Science (Nursing Services I), Medical Therapeutics (Nursing Services II), A&P (Nursing Services III), or Nursing Education (Nursing Services IV) are invited to join!
HOW CAN YOU JOIN? Dues are $14 must be paid in the month August to Mrs. Lindsay Young (Room 1) or Mrs. Lindsey Lovins (Room 2). The last day to sign up is 9/3.

Mr. Ken Gluck from the Tennessee Holocaust Commission recently engaged with History and English teachers in Henderson County, providing valuable insights on teaching the Holocaust through various curriculum. He highlighted the mission of the Tennessee Holocaust Commission and shared the inspiring story of his father's survival during this tragic historical event. This session proved to be informative and beneficial for our educators, enriching their understanding and approach to this important topic. Thank you!



We were happy to celebrate with Class of 2024 graduate Joel Renfroe this afternoon at LHS! Joel signed to play tennis for Coach Dana Horton at Blue Mountain Christian University in Blue Mountain Mississippi! Congratulations! Joel is the son of Phillip and Dachelle Renfroe.


The Lexington High School Administrative Team has been putting in tremendous effort to ensure a great start to the upcoming school year! We are thrilled about the exciting direction our school is heading under their leadership. We can't wait to see all the familiar faces and warmly welcome our new students tomorrow! Go Tigers!
