Lexington, TN—Lexington High School has been awarded the prestigious Reward School designation for the 2023-24 school year, a significant achievement for both the school and the community. Based on the state's federal accountability system, this honor is given to schools in Tennessee that demonstrate exceptional performance and growth.
Lexington High School's Reward School designation is awarded based on the school achieving an overall score of 3.1 or higher on the state's federal accountability calculation, demonstrating outstanding performance across academic indicators such as achievement, growth, and college/career readiness. In addition, the award highlights the school’s success in several key areas, including:
-Achievement: Consistently high academic performance in various subjects.
-Growth: Significant improvements in student learning and academic progress.
-Chronic Absenteeism: Low rates of student absenteeism, ensuring students are engaged and present.

Mrs. Young would like to recognize the students in her Medical Therapeutics class. They worked very hard and have completed their certifications in CPR and OSHA!
