Congratulations to 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Hannah McMinn on being awarded a TVA STEM Classroom Grant! I am always excited for the opportunity to bring hands on learning into my classroom! This project will allow second grade students to see our “Cycles In Nature” unit come alive as we hatch baby chicks and plant seeds. Thank you to TVA & LES for this STEM classroom grant! - Mrs. Hannah

Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled. We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to rest, recover, and take the necessary health precautions during this time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Danny J Beecham Henderson County Schools
